Yeah, that's what they call him in the Japanese version. But then, there aren't any sounds in the Japanese language that ends in a consonant. They're all vowels, except for "n" I guess. (i.e. "-san" suffix.) It's really kinda comical when you watch dramatic shows in subtitles and the characters are trying to speak "Engrish". XD Like in Spiral, they refer to this group as the "Blade Children", but it comes out: "Burado Chirdoren".
In any case, nice tutorial. I can't help but wonder if the "I have to work on my chibis" part was an intentional pun though. XD

You're right. My teachers keep saying to copy things as best you can, and once you have it down take what you like and incorporate it into what you draw. It's harder than it sounds!

For some reason Ed's face always ends up so round when I draw him o_O But maybe that's just my own style.

I haven't watched the anime in a while, so I don't remember too much about the art, but in the manga you can see his face gets longer as he approaches his 16th birthday. I think that's really cool.

And did you notice that in most subbed anime, they tend to like to put vowels on the ends of most names and such? Lol. Edo and Alu are just a few examples that I've noticed...it's funny that they do that in the language...XD
