BTW...I warn you now to be careful...this is a very large file.This one took me FOREVER, let me tell you...but that's just because I had to explain every little thing I've done. I FINALLY figured out how to do screenshots (ctr and "print screen" on the keyboard, then put it into a notebook or art program), so I could do this. YAY!
This makes Obi very happy.Anywho, I did enjoy this.

It's kinda sad because I have Photoshop CS2 and I only have basic skills... But thanks to these, I'm one step closer to making a photoshoped picture in the future! ^^

There are several tutorials online for photoshop CS and Photoshop 7 (the two most similar editions they've come out with) that will tell you how to do line variance and such. To tell the truth, I had to figure out the "stylus" thing on my own, because no one does photoshop 6 except for me.

So that's how your artwork is so amazing...it still looks hard though. But you're probably used to this by now. I remember in 8th grade our class was doing portraits, and we had to do all these shading techniques and different pieces of shading...like one week we'd do hair (that's really hard), the next noses (the bridge doesn't bother me, it's where the nostrils are that I struggled with), lips (I think I liked those), eyes (VERY hard for me!), and face shading (my favorite part). He didn't really show us the best way to do them though. This explains it a lot better. You're really good at teaching, you know? Writing and art and stuff. Are you in school to be a teacher?

It's just figuring out where the shadows are, and whether something is a hard edge (like a box) or a soft edge (like a sphere). After a while, it doesn't seem so difficult.

It' kinda weird, but, dispite the fact that I don't have PhotoShop or Painter or any of those computer programs, and I'm pretty much only good with a pencil, I usually get better by going through these tutorials.
