Thank you. I think i've done all i can with this style as it is now. Using the simple colours and simple shapes for animals... You saw the one i did for Guin; do you see a progression of the style i.e. Am i doing more with it now that i was before? I value your opinion.

You sure are doing more with them than you did before. I can see the progression of the style.
(Sorry for my English, hard to explain it in another language, but I will give it a try).
The lines are much nicer now, and so are the colours. The one you did for Guin is so nice!!
Different than the other ones. You put 'shades' in it!! And I really like it!!
You know I like your style a lot. And it's nice to see that you are getting better!!!
They look much stronger now. More self-secure.

Not to brag, but i have to agree; i've been getting more refined in my techniques of using the ink. I've moved from pure experimenting with the ink and colours to really knowing what i'm doing. And don't worry, you speak better and more understandable English than most Americans i come into contact with. You are clearly understood. I just wish i'd studied Dutch for more than a month ten years ago.

Thanks for the kind words about my English. So you had some Dutch lessons!
Is it useful to study Dutch in America?

Honestly, not really. No one speaks it but Dutch people, like tourists and first generation immigrants (and you won't find many people over there wanting to come live here these days). I'm planning on trying to pick it up again myself though. My brain has been really active so i'm going to try to cram as many languages in there as possible over the next few months.

In case you need some help with the Dutch language, please ask!!!

I certainly will! I'm going to have to put it off for a little while. I need to majorly brush up on my Danish. I get by in the language but it's been so long since i've been to Denmark or spent much time around my Danish-speaking relative that i've gotten pretty rusty with it. Having that background though makes learning languages like German and Dutch much easier. (not to mention Norwegian; it's almost the same language!)

I started learning Dutch because i used to be a Mormon and was going on a mission to Suriname. I only got a few weeks of intensive training in at the training center (in Utah) before i got really sick and had to go home. This was ten years ago though.

It sure helps when you speak Danish! Reading Dutch is so
much alike!! When I'm in Germany I can talk in Dutch, while
they answer in German!! So funny to hear, but very handy!
I remember that you told me about Suriname a long time
ago! Jammer dat je ziek werd!!!

I know this isn't exactly helpful critique, but I happen to be a big fan of cephalopods. I like how the tentacles are curling gently. It's another contrast painting.

Thank you muchly, and yup, i plan on continuing working with this style. I do feel i've become stale so i need to push it to the next level.
