Description
Teardrop's POV:I bumped into someone and fell onto the ground. I was afraid to look up. What should I do?
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" someone said. I looked up from the concrete slowly. I saw a girl with short pink hair and a yellow jeans. She had a pink flower with a yellow inside on her shirt. I frantically looked around, thinking of running.
"Why aren't you talking? Are you ignoring me?!" the girl screeched. She had an entourage of other girls with her, and they all looked as menacing as she was. I was afraid she was going to do something bad.
So I ran. The bus is a bad idea now, so I'll walk. When I got to the high school, I had decided I will try to blend in, do nothing that will make me stand out. I slid into my seat with the rush of the crowd. As long as the teacher didn't introduce new students, I would be okay.
"Class, we have a new student with us today." Oh no. I silently moved to the front of the room, waiting to get humiliated.
"Why don't you tell us your name?" the teacher, Mr. Announcer, said, as what seemed to be 100 eyes staring at me, waiting for me to do anything laugh-worthy. And how could I tell them my name? I said, Teardrop, in sign-language, hoping someone knew sign-language.
"She said, Teardrop." a girl with gray hair in a bun said. Thank goodness, I thought I would get humiliated in front of the entire class.
"Can you talk?" Mr. Announcer said. I nervously shook my head no.
"She's so dumb she doesn't know how to talk!" someone yelled from the back of the classroom. It was the flower-shirt girl again. Everyone snickered except for a few people. A guy with red hair in a block-shaped haircut even laughed full-out. I feel totally humiliated.
"Class, class, settle down. Teardrop, you may go back to your seat as we start the lesson." Mr. Announcer said, as I ran back to my seat, my face blushing uncontrollably. The rest of the lesson became a blur as I thought, this is the worst day of my life.
I was moving to next period when I got confronted in the hall by the flower-shirt girl, Flower, as I learned soon after, and her entourage.
"You think you can run away from me?" she sneered. I shook my head no violently. Then she pinned me to the wall.
"You can't run away now!" My eyes were wide with fear as she took out some duct-tape. She duct-taped my hands and legs to the wall.
"Now you can never run!" She laughed as she walked away with her entourage as she left me on the wall, duct-taped, books on the floor. I struggled, but the tape was strong and I was weak anyway. Now I'll be late for second period, I thought as I silently pleaded for someone to see me.
Finally, I saw three kids walking down the hall. They saw me and ran over to help. One girl with green hair helped me up and said,
"Hi! I'm Leafy! And this is Bubble and Firey!" as she pointed to a girl with light blue hair, not as dark as mine, with a certain shininess, and a kid with orange hair and yellow tips. I don't know if it was just me, but I saw Firey's hair flicker for a second.
"Did Flower do this to you?" Leafy said. I nodded my head yes.
"My, she's mean. Let's go! We don't want to be late for second period!" she said as we walked down the hall towards second period, science.
I feel that today has gotten significantly better. But things can change in a millisecond, as I was going to find out.
