Search complete: Opening topic: The Archives.

Synopsis:
Discovered in the year 3502, The Archives is a structure of unthinkable proportions that contains all iterations of data in the universe. While its stores of information transcend time and space, the structure is still only a machine. It is not sentient; it possess a expanded Virtual Intelligence complex. This can only mean that something came before the Archives.

Dimensions (Approximate):
Diameter: 200,000 Kilometers
Circumference: 630,000 Kilometers
Width(Excluding Data Towers): 21,500 Kilometers
Average Data Tower Height: 6,500 Kilometers

Data:
Class: Unclassed Data Station

Statistics> General:
The Archives possess many data towers that seem to have the highest concentration of Archival Radiation emitters. The central ring has a relatively low concentration, but is suspected to contain most of the data stored in the Archives. The substance that makes up The Archives appears to be indestructible. If it has truly experienced the birth of a new universe, then the main hull of the Archives is indeed strong enough to withstand the Big Bang. Though its purpose is obscure, The Archives do seem to maintain and regulate the use of energy in the universe, based on trends.

Statistics> Discovery:
Due to advancements in quantum physics, detection of radiation particles and waves became much more efficient and precise. Eventually, a radiation with extremely long wavelengths was discovered. This wavelengths surpassed even the longest waves on the electromagnetic spectrum, but did not actually seem to be electromagnetic. Further inspection of this radiation revealed that while the wavelengths were long and extremely spread out, there seemed to be an unimaginable amount of radiators. It was soon discovered that these overlapping waves made the radiation undetectable to previous conventions, yet managed to fill every crevice of existence. These waves were traced to their source, a colossal, solid object at what was believed to be the center of the universe.

Statistics> Origin:
The origin of The Archives is wholly unknown, and has been debated by celestial historians and scholars since its discovery. Analysis done on Archival Radiation has shown that its waves have been on their course for trillions upon trillions of years, leading scientists to believe that the universe may be older than it seems, or that the Archives have experienced the births and deaths of a number of universes.

Statistics> Attempted Manned Exploration:
A project attempting to send manned ships was started in the year 3702. This project would involve the razing of 4 uncharted planets to create a colossal mass driver that would send 2 exploration frigates and a another mass driver to the Archives instantaneously. However, these planets were in the Bethracti systems. The second planet to be razed was inhabited by a colony of Bethracti. Due to failure to scan for significant life, all inhabitants of the planet were instantly incinerated before the razing process. The swift retaliation of the Bethracti halted the project.

Statistics> Avalon:
The Archives possess a "herald ship" that, when encountered, may propel nearby spacecraft to the Archives in a Radial Mass Acceleration event. This ship is also believed to be indestructible.

yeah I actually checked your calculations on the diameter and circumference lol... tho judging by the sample the avg tower height looks like it should be a bit higher
but thats just me being my ocd self

also
*uploads brain content into a computer and uplinks to the Archives, revels in knowledge and solved mysteries*

also also, flash memory or hard disk? or DNA?

I like the story behind this.... It's better than most can think of..... The design of the archives, is simple as it should be for a design, supposed to be this old.... Also the idea of showing it this way is pure awesomeness
