Description Over a smoggy, impoverished city of an over-industrialized planet, an immaculate monolith looms. This building is one of the many Starscrapers that belong to the Aglidica Innovations Company (AIC). This company, responsible for spearheading the advancement of humanity, spreads their technology from a single Starscraper per solar system. Typically, AIC chooses to base a Starscraper on the planet with the most poverty in the solar system. Inhabitants of the planet enjoy quick industrial and economic improvement on an incredible scale.

These titanic buildings are constructed in the vacuum of space for a perfect blend of super-durable alloys. While the actual building is constructed, a port for the tower is created in the planet itself. The port generates power for the building by a mixture of solar, gravitational, geothermal, and magnetic energy, making it very energy efficient. In addition to being a power source, the port serves a pipeline for resources, ship fuel, Galactic Web access, and other things.

Upon completion, the Starscraper's mass is lowered greatly by mass manipulation technology. The building is then dropped from orbit into the port, and activated.

When the whole process is done, the Starscraper not only a hub for interplanetary commerce in the solar system, but an incredibly large building that extends into the stratosphere.

No, it's not the Citadel from Half-Life 2.

Yeah, the building is built just above the planet's atmosphere, then dropped on to the planet after completion.
