She flips springy curls,And smacks coated lips.
If the outside is perfect
They won’t know how her inside rips.
She strolls down the hall
With the beautiful crowd,
Biting her tongue.
Voicing her fears isn’t allowed.
She says all the right things
And follows the trends
To please these people
Who call themselves friends.
But friends are there.
To lean on, to cry on.
These are just fakes,
Cool and withdrawn.
She looks at herself,
And hates what she sees.
Hates that she’s like them.
A friend, blowing by on the breeze.

wow... so true! I found myself doing that at one point and am so happy that I've woken up and realized what a real friend is! Great job at portraying the typical life of a teenage girl trying to be popular Kels! I like the poem! I would have never been able to come up with that rhyme for lips. LoL. Nice job!!
