doodles and sketch's don't need to be perfect, but i mean you did a good job, the anatomy may be off but all in good practice
by the way love the cute little mouse, may be a little random but i like the nail colouring
What size Mechanical pencil do you use? just curious XD i use 0.5

I honestly have no idea. Lol. Just a cheapo pencil. rofl. Yah thanks for the comment. Like I said though - I didn't pay to much attention to the anatomy of a doodle. I guess I really should try to do that in the future.

okay! for you i would really work on the anatomy of wolves. though your fur is outstanding! the legs seem a little stiff and the placement of the eyes could be better. the best way i think to improve your anatomy is to check out a book about wolves from the library and draw the pictures from the book. good luck to ya!

Oh... its not that... I just thought you were critiquing other work. Lol. Doodles don't really mean much to me. Y'know... Well thanks anyways, I will try to pay attention to stiffness next time. Maybe if i get really bored I will check out a ref book. I have one but I don't really use it.

using references works really well for me personally. lately i have been studying my eyes more carefully to improve them. its just what i do when i find something i find unsatisfactory in my drawing.

Yah, I get what you are saying, I just get really bleh working out of books. I draw my eyes how they are because I want to though... that's just part of my style. I kinda wanna do some realism now though. Lol.

i see where you are coming from. sometimes when i just want to unwind i grab a pen and to the very same eyes. realism is definitely the way to go. as i see it, once you know realism you have permission to draw as dumb looking as you want. like for me i learned how to draw normal humans before i even touched anime. i am always finding some way to improve my wolves though. they are my personal speciality.

*nods* Me too. I just started people about 3 weeks ago... I for some reason can not draw REAL people... its probably because I hate looking people in the face.

yeah, for a long while i really really sucked at drawing people. when you have been drawing animals since you were three its hard to make the switch. the only real big problem i had was with the faces, though i think i watched enough anime to figure out the right anatomy for the face. (not counting the big eyes of coarse.)

I know the anatomy... I just can't make it look right... it just doesn't happen... realism is a fail on my end. Well for people.

just remember not to give up! i always tried to improve my humans and now i have confidence that i can draw them now. they are still not my favorite thing to draw though... its all a matter of practice huh?

don't we all...
i had to force myself to draw them. like on days when i couldn't draw what i was good at i would draw people so i might be good at something im not good at. it worked sometimes but i think it was mostly an excuse. i still can't draw guys or kissing though... i don't practice those enough.

well cause i am a girl and i see girls more often its a lot easier for me cause i am so used to seeing girls and i can picture the anatomy better. once again though it is the face that trips me. plus i don't know enough manly poses.

I find men easier because I can picture them easier. I don't really look at people much... so I think thats a lot of my problem

i know what you mean. i don't want to sit there staring at a guy all the time! so last time i got my hair cut i was looking at the guy haircut book. i felt like everyone was thinking i was just checking out the guys!
