Cotingaa!I realised I did not have a decent picture of my gryphon character so I whipped this up today.
I originally created her to have a character to do art exchanges with, and the silly beast has grown on me. Representing my "silly side", Contingaa has the attitude of a corvid, the attention span of a mynah bird, the voice of a macaw, and the physical appearance of something that has been dropped in a paint pot.

Great use of color!

The background flowers are adorable.
I love the feathering, expression and overall level of detail, but the tail feels a little heavy to me.
Still though, orange.

Everyone needs a silly side. This one is a nice design. She seems far more reptile than most gyrphon designs I've seen. She also lacks the wings of most and her torpical colours make me think of a bird that learnt to live on the ground and didn't need wings any more. I can see her living in a tropical jungle somewhere and suprising everyone by jumping out at them suddenly. Does she always have that smile on her face? As in, is it part of her face shape and she can't help it or is she just laughing at us because she can?
One last question, is the neon green thing her toung or is it a lizard she's caught?

The "reptillian" side you are seeing is probably appearing as I am a herpetologist
Yes, she always has a silly grin!
The green is her tongue - she has a lower mandible similar to a cockatiel so she can shove her tongue out without opening her beak too wide - normally to offend some passer by....

Especially the colors you used, orange and blue are not often used together because it's so hard to get a blend that looks good, but you've suceeded here, this is grand!
