Yes, just because I'm depicting them as gay, doesn't mean I think either of them are less "manly", so I do try not to turn one of them into a surrogate woman. I want to keep them as two men together.

Thank you very much. (Some of the colours have actually come out a bit off compared to the real painting, Arthur's hair isn't actually that day-glo yellow on the painting. But I've given the painting to someone now, so I can't take another photo.)

Well, it's illegal to make a profit from fanart. I know people do it, but with my terrible luck I'd end up getting prosecuted, :g:, so I'd rather not risk it.

And you can only put so many bits of fanart up on your own walls without looking like a bit of a nutter.

So this way at least someone is enjoying them and they're not just gathering dust in my attic.

Thank you. I know what you mean about Merlin's expression, he doesn't look entirely comfortable. In my head, he was thinking about something upsetting that he can't share with Arthur...maybe Balinor's death or something like that...and he's got this reserve in him that's holding him back from totally relaxing.

I don't like to explain too much about the pictures, as it looks as though you are making excuses for the faults. But I do think that all of Arthur is passionately in that embrace. But only some of Merlin is there...most of him is off inside his own head.
