Graffiti is not only ugly and unsightly, it is a serious criminal offence,β - Tim Holding, Minister for Police & Emergency Services Victoria.This piece started out as a random character design but by the time it was finished it became a statement about the recent crackdown on graffiti in Melbourne due to the Commonwealth (stolen-wealth) games.
The Victorian government is persecuting the REAL source of melbourne culture: The artists. Just because they aren't all competing for the Archibald prize doesn't mean their art shouldn't have a chance to be viewed and enjoyed by all who really appreciate art in ALL it's forms.
