Don't worry, little one, they won't find you here. You're safe from their greed.Aaaaah this has taken me forever to finish ;_; On one hand I've been a bit busy lately with other things so my drawing time has diminished considerably, on the other hand the progress for this piece has been so TEDIOUS and slow. The frustration was real xD And I ended up complicating my life making it lineless too, which wasn't in the plan, but oh well. It must be one of my most complex lineless drawings so far so I hope I did a good job considering the many hours I put into this ;v; I also took the leap and switched to the new SAI2 which is amazinggg but I spent a while messing around with the new features too.
Anyway~ I wanted to make an environment-related drawing since this planet is sinking and we, along with it. It makes me angry how greedy mankind can be to their habitat and how they can't resist the urge of destroying its precious resources just to make useless trash.
But I hope you guys like this! ^_^

I love how often you use the color green . Lol, anyway, lovely piece! Interesting that the plant is thriving on such a little source of light, like it's the last light of hope. The wall is a barrier to the outside world right? I know this is a different perspective, but I see a possible symbolism of being isolated (at least partially) can help one's growth. Sort of like a vacation if that makes sense. Sorry, I'm having trouble finding the right words, this happens to me a lot

Haha yeah, I bet you do! XD The story behind this was of a world where trees have been so over-exploited by man to the point it became a rarity. This girl finds a seedling growing inside an abandoned building and starts taking care of it everyday, keeping it hidden and making sure it doesn't fall to the hands of the greedy. The glow effect was meant to enhance that feeling of rarity and specialty (and because I just love shiny things too much), but hope is pretty fitting too! I figured it was a good scenario since plants are known to thrive even in harshest of conditions
Oh I never noticed I wasn't planning on putting much focus on this character, just thought I'd draw a plain, random girl. But as I kept drawing and adding to it, I thought I'd turn her into some sort of Gaia personification XD All that long, green hair and innocence reminded me of a nature spirit, so maybe I'll draw her again in the future!

Oooh it does resemble her indeed I guess bright minds do think alike! XD I attempted to make some sort of comic book story when I was smaller because I also liked writing stories back then, but not so much now. For now I'm having fun making those illustrations, but who knows where this road takes me
