World of warcraft has three server types, player vs. monsters, where other players can't attack each other unless they both consent, player vs. player, where alliance members and horde members can attack each other on sight, and role playing servers, where players are required to be "in character" for the most part.just an observation of my experiences in different types of servers.

I transferred to Moon Guard from Thorium Brotherhood recently, and that essentially sums up the experience (if you were to pretend T-brohood was a pvp server, and not a failed rp one).

Dude.. I have characters on 3 RP realms.. and... no one does that, I find it annoying that people think RP'ers only speak in old english..

i know what RP is but how do u pull that off in suck a game and how does it all happen?
i would like to try a RP server too to find out for myself, any1 know any good ones?

Ah, reminds me of when I used to play ;D RPPvP. Half the people were intellectual, half were dumbasses. Good fun, though.

i hate that, espesialy when ypou try to help a newbie in the rp server and all they do is cuss you out because they don't know what a rp server is. *pulling on hair* XD

Sadly enough, that is completely true. I don't know how many times, I have been on an rp-server.. and got to hear a well typed out insult. Or.. attempt to get me to play Tank and Spank.. lol

side note: I never did find out what 'bur' meant in common... probably the same as 'ash' in thalassian (or however its spelled..)... in the common/ orcish dictionary it says 'bur' is an aggressively passionate mating call. lol...

Why has the horde always the most Insulting/ Arrogant/ obsessed fanboyish/ forum troll players...
And then they whine about the alliance being whiny 10 year old kids...
Lol for some reason, the horde turns people into genuine jerks.

Finally, someone who takes a similar view on the horde. Even if the alliance do have yonger players, they seem to be more modest compares to a good deal of arrogent, snobbish and unpleasant elitists you find on the horde (Not saying they're all like that though

I played both sides, and stuck primarily to the RP servers (both RPPVE, which I preferred and RPPVP, which I became to hate), It was fine and fun for a while, and then BC was released and the servers I was on stayed sensible for about 6 months, when there was an influx of new players, ALL of them had no f***ing clue about RP, and ripped into the actual Roleplayers for how we were acting, and talking LEET in character. Then came the Twink culture, Goldsites, Lunatic Gankers (who's only excuse for ganking was "I'm playing a Homicidal axemurderer/Sociopath.") and the cowards who want to PVP but couldn't actually handle surviving on a Pure PVP server because they got spanked.
I know PVP, I started on on the Original EU Servers (Bloodfeather) and I survived fine (level 58 Human Paladin), even though I didn't really PVP (didn't get much choice at the start).
But the best server I was on, My tauren warrior could greet the Alliance people as she ran past, getting a wave or cheer back, and only once did I get attacked (NElf druid. Just after I had waved to a human priest, thinking the priest would help her).
That's WoW I wish it still was, not the mess it is now.

lol, so true. Sadly though some of the people I have seen on RP servers don't talk like that anymore. Or have every exciting rp storys. Or those that do I seem to never been involved in.

What server should i play in? cause that whole getting into character and fighting enemies thing sounds fun.
Imagine in the game u plan a raid with like 10 friends and u fly griffons in a V over a Horde populated area imagine the screenshot from below lol it would we awesome!

It also depends which server you're on. Mine for example, Sisters of Elune has rich RP environment on the Horde side but also our share of RP-breakers.
