Welp! The IP Pageant posted a journal yesterday announcing the first round of the contest! Admittedly I was a tad bit TOO excited by the subject. Tikah happens to come from a tropical part of planet Vort, so being in the water is something she is well acquainted to. Not to mention it was fun to show her doing one of her favorite hobbies, other than tinkering with machines, surfing~!Tikah ain't really the type of girl to show too much skin in any circumstance. Surfing and water sports are no difference there. No bikini or anything like that for this girlie. All big ol wet suits and zippers. Cause she is just so ...Fun like that. No extra skin showing that isn't necessary.
Also yes, Tikah totally talks to little robots and animals when alone. I think she needs a boyfriend.. or some .. friends.

I really just kinda had fun with those the over all process isn't that hard, if you really are looking to learn how to do them I highly recommend looking up some tutorials on deviantart. I kinda have mashed together several ones I have found over the years. Give and take what you want you'll find your own specialized way of doing it

Pfshh Tikah doesn't wear bikinis at least not often, or like.. ever. She doesn't enjoy showing too much skin, little tomboy buggar..

This looks really lovely.
Really enjoying the environment here, very good atmosphere throughout. Almost every area the eye can go is full of details. The pattern of the water particularly adds a nice touch.
Tikah herself is adorable here, with that expression. Her swimsuit look is great as well, again with all those nice little details in the bracelets and textures.

Water scenes are my favorite environment to draw, I had grown up in a sea side town so it was something I got to see almost daily.
My friend Hammy made an outfit recently in a illustration she did of my character Tikah. I just had to incorporate some of the details in that illustration to one of her outfits.
