Started this sketch this morning and finished up the lineart and coloring in my livestream today~! Luckily was able to show the process more after ..two hours of streaming and no one showing up due to deviantart lagging on submissions. Haha, So much love for that.. completely.. yep.However, it was fantastic to actually finish a piece during a stream~! Especially with all the people that showed up and hung out with me the whole time while I worked on this piece.
Those adorable babies there around Almaca are a species created by my friend Joydroid called water bears, don't be mistaken though, they don't stay small for long.

Like I said, not small for long.
I really had much too much fun with the coloring in this one, I couldn't resist playing with some brighter happier hues. A whole rainbow why not! I have been seeing so many colorful deviations all day I just had to give it a shot myself. Have to say I was pleased with the result!
This has to be one of my favorite deviations I have done in so long and a perfect jump back to my art after a long art block.

Almaca is an original species of mine called Sauvakians. They're an actually very sweet species.

There are also a ton of tutorials online you should take a look at. Never can do enough research.
Yeaahhh, I considered making them an open species at first, but decided against it. Seen too many originals species be kind of taken apart unintentionally by people. I've put quite a bit of work into their culture and species as a whole and truly would hate to see that all eliminated.

Yea that is troubling part of backgrounds, but if you work at it they can become just as satisfying to complete as the characters!

Haha, well not a surprise there I was inspired by aquatic plants, actually ocean life inspires a lot of my art given i grew up by an ocean.
I'm not sure they taste as good as gummy bears.
But they are soft and the babies are adorable, so you can hug them at least? XD

Wow, this is really something beautiful. Really loving the color choice, everything works together without becoming muddy to my eyes. I'm liking how the line art looks as well. Everything flows and there there are no real straight lines to be seen, that I know of.
Really nice work! I had to stop and just watch at it for a while. xD

I try and avoid straight lines entirely when I'm doing more natural settings. Cause really there is no such thing as a straight line in nature. Everything has its imperfections how ever small.
Lately I have been poking around some fellow deviants profiles and galleries, and just finding a explosion of beautifully colored art. I couldn't resist not trying my own hand at it as well.
