An updated nose process from the olde one
Old process

I have no idea what I'm doing, i just mess around until I like how it looks.
Usually okay with leaving it at the second last bit; the end product is what i'd consider overworked (in the context of it being on a face i'm hypothetically painting), but that's a style preference.

(1) I start off with a sketch, which acts purely as a guideline (of course, always a lot easier to work with if it's more accurate).
(2) Block in some shadows to bring out the general shape more.
(3) Start smoothing things out (I used the eyedropper, default hard circle brush and kinda like a "fuzzy square" brush i made for myself. Opacity changes with sensitivity, but not brush size).
(4) Whilst I'm smoothing things out, I add more colours here and there from the colour wheel. To add more depth, some highlight, some rAiNbOw, whatever I feel.
(5) Rinse and repeat (3) (4) until I'm okay with how it looks.
