I just realized how much these two pairings are so much alike.
Strini and Viktoryia are both bossy and adventurous weirdos. Charlie and Irokue are their best buddies and future love interest who are super sweet and just go along with what the girls tell them to. Plus they both are kinda a slave to an evil force you could say. Irokue was raised by a monster who's very controlling and protective of him and Charlie ends up getting kidnapped by a shadow goblin. Both the girls are even missing teeth and have messy hair wtf.

Plus us they both carved their names onto something important to them
