Calamity holds the egg close, protectively now. "What do you mean by that?"

Jane smiles a wicked smile, her eyes starting to tear up. "You should know by now that you of all Gros shouldn't be having an egg right now."

Her heart drops in her chest, deep in the abyss of it all. She holds the egg close to it, feeling the weight more bearable with it in her possession. "I lost one I can't lose another and you of all gros should know that."

Jane is laughing at her, just like all the wynglings did when she was born. "You didn't lose one, it was never yours to begin with, Calamity get it through your head that you can't have an egg for a reason!"

But she wasn't letting it go, not after she had come so far. "This is my Mercy in life and I refuse to let a jealous sister take that away from me!"

"Jealous? How am I JEALOUS?! You named an unborn FETUS THAT MAY NOT EVEN SURVIVE!"

"Because I get to have a kid before you do! AND AT LEAST I TOLD HARU MY FEELINGS SOBER!"

She knew she went to far, but she wasn't letting anyone take this away from her, not even her own sister, not now, and certainty not ever.
