Oh yeah, they were both pretty interesting questions to answer.
As for their magic...it doesn't have to be non-lethal. Amanda actually knows a large number of highly lethal spells, and the genies have the power to be lethal if they wanted to be, though they avoid it. The two teams could have fought lethally, but I figured making the fight more friendly (and thus non-lethal) made a lot more sense for the answer.

Saya: H-hey! The author created me before he ever actually watched / learned about the Fate series, so me looking like her is actually a coincidence, although the hairstyle and shirt being in Kisekae is not one! But uh...yeah, that game looks really fun. Thanks for reminding me...
(That's actually true by the way. When I built Saya's design I had never learned anything about Fate, so I just gave her the ponytails since they looked good. Now I'm actually a big Fate fan, so it's really hilarious to me in hindsight. I've been tempted to change it but...I'm also lazy. ;D)

It's always a struggle. And then I get lazy and just play video games instead, ha ha.

I found a way to break myself form chains like that; if I'm playing out of laziness I take a game like Metal gear rising and set it to REVENGANCE difficulty and so I keep playing until i get so frustrated by all the over-powered enemies I end up turning off the game and being productive.

Using high difficulty games to encourage you to write...that's not a bad idea, ha ha. Metal Gear Rising is a really good game. I'm actually just playing MGSV now, which is also super good.
