I always thought the big round red things were the eyes and the black dots on top of the shell... dunno... certainly did not occur to me those could be the eyes untill I was made aware of it.

Kabuto and Kabutops always were my favorite of the original fossil duo (I know theres also aerodactyl and I love him, but he is like a bonus fossil to me).

I always thought the little dots were the eyes until I saw the Kabuto episode in the anime, I think! Now it's like...if the red eyes are the eyes, what are the shell 'eyes'? Maybe they're all eyes...hmmm....

Heh. Kabuto, the Headlight Pokemon. Once found in abundance, this species died off long ago. Their bright, shining eyes made it hard to hide from predators.
