Who fell in love with a skeleton man?

Yeah, it's me. I fell in love with a skeleton man.

I've wanted to draw a portrait of Fane with some skin on his bones for a while (though he's deeply endearing as he is, bones and all) - there's a lot of fun in that DOS2 really doesn't give you too much on what he might have looked like in life. As such, much of this portrait is speculative gleaning from what snippets you get if you opt to take Fane to i'm sorry the bone zone. There's really only two things about this interpretation that are strictly canon.

No but seriously, Fane's romance is best romance (says Socket, who's only actually delved second-hand into the Fane and Ifan romance) and he's my favourite companion by far. Absolutely stunning voice-acting, so incredibly well-written, and also he's very good for setting literally everything on fire in combat. Everything. Even himself. Often himself. Wizards are fun.

The only reason my gallery isn't flooded with Fane is that he's upsettingly difficult to draw because he's a skeleton man and my knowledge of skeletal anatomy is tenuous at best.

but anyway that's me gushing about my favourite boy from my favourite game. I heart eyes the bone man.
