It's done. It's finally finished. Let me collapse with joy.A redraw of my Vivian picture from almost a year ago - I feel like this one came out better by...an awful lot.
I'm sad that I didn't give her adorable belly justice in this, but at least I feel the rest of her came out well. I continue to love her for being just a giant cutie face and also being a rare instance of a transgender videogame character...even if that was censored out. Shame on you, Nintendo of America.
The background absolutely murdered me. I still find doing any kind of real background really difficult, but...I'm pretty pleased.
Anyway. I hope you like it, comments and critiques are forever appreciated! (Let me know what to do better for next year! *laughs*)

Ah, okay! I get a lot of people who like to try and insist Vivian is either a cis girl and not trans at all, or a guy, I mistook your comment as trying to correct me as to what her gender is. Β Apologies if that wasn't the case.Β

It wasnt entirely trying to correct, but still, if he identifies as a trans girl thats fine, I just refer to his blood gender as guy for convinience with full knowledge of his trans nature. So I apologize if I sounded disrespectful to trans people.

That does sound disrespectful to trans people, though. She's a girl - the only person who refers to her as 'male' is Beldam, who does it purely to upset her (and Goombella, after hearing Beldam's comments). It's clear that Vivian wants to be recognised as a girl, and if you wouldn't call a transgender woman by male pronouns in real life I don't know why Vivian should be treated as an exception.

There's no need to feel disgusted with yourself - so long as you know now that it's important to use the right pronouns for people and that it's hurtful to call people by their assigned gender's pronouns if you know they don't identify with their assigned gender, that's what matters. Whether they're real or fictional, calling trans people by the right pronouns is important and right to do.
I know I can be kinda blunt when I'm trying to get my point across, but it's just because I like to be to the point about things like this.

Yeah...thanks for being so understanding about it. Anyways, about nintendos censorship, it reminds me of a more recent thing involving censorship. If you watch steven universe, you will know that it has alot of LGBT pro themes. When an episode was aired in the UK and the characters Pearl and Rose Quartz were having an intimate dance scene, the UK censored the more intimate romantic section of the dance.

Same, same! I really appreciate Vivian's existence, I only hope that someday we'll see trans characters like her make it through the US translations of games. It sucks that that aspect of her was censored out.

Never played any of the Paper Mario games, but I did watch Chuggaaconroy play through each of them on his YouTube channel, and looking back now, I really would like for Nintendo to get gutsy and restore the 'transgender' subplot with Vivian.

I just saw this because I'm checking out all the south west Homestuckers (Not creepy at all) and my sister bought this game for wii today after returning it months ago because of a big glitch mid-game. Its a really great picture by the way. I love the use of shading and how it contrasts so much yet works so well.

Ahh, I still need to play Super Mario Sunshine! I've heard so many good things about it.
And yes! A whole act in a single flash...Was pretty epic stuff, in my opinion. Fun to see that people sussed the kids' land names in advance, also (or at least the noble gases part). Not often that fan guesses strike so close to accuracy - with the exception of the Cherub bodysharing deal, and that was deliberately obvious. *laughs*

Aaaaanyway. If anyone was there to compare this and the old one... Well, letΒ΄s just say that it would not be hard at all to note the awe inspiring improvement there is between the two. I specially love the coloring improvement. The light is amazing, and so is the shading, and it helps the whole atmosphere... so a HUGE thumbs up! 
Now, on the matter of the background... I am speechless. Dem trees. Dem clouds. Dem dirt/rock effects on the floor. Dat sky. Dem branches. Dat grass. Dat huge full moon. And it goes on, and on, and on... It is aboslutely noticeable how you have improved on the matter of backgrounds, this is 140% more badass... I really love the coloring on the whole thing, but I think I am most fond of the floor and sky----
Okay, forget about that. I love everything on it.
The point is... you shoould put this picture and the old one on the "Draw this Again" meme. I personally think this is amazing. There is no flaw to point out on this one; I really, really, really reallyreallyreally like this. So much itΒ΄s not even funny.
In a tl;dr version: Excellent. Goes to faves. Keep it up. And sorry for the wall of text!
