This reply is super late (ADD is partly to blame, and also repeated failures trying to construct an adequately eloquent reply because this comment means a lot to me), but I'm really glad this piece could be so positive for you even 6 years after I drew it. Bringing even a little light to someone's day is all I could hope for with my art. Flurrie is a fantastic character, and there really aren't enough fat women characters who are portrayed positively in media - far too many get sidelined to villainous or comic relief roles and the world needs more Flurries.

Thank you so, so much for this comment. Eating disorders and body image struggles are a hell of a thing to deal with, and I wish you all the best in attaining happiness in yourself at any size. I've spent a lot of time drawing mainly creature art recently, but your comment has spurred me to want to do more humanoid character design work - if someone can see my pictures and feel seen and represented, that's plenty enough to make it worthwhile.

that would be pretty boss~ if you did would you go for the more solid take of her making an impact on the material of the couch and cushions or keep it like in this one where she maintains the lightness of being a cloud? i am not going to lie, a noticeable draw to this was that you did not have her interacting with the furniture anywhere except the main contact-point which is really true to how she is in the game

Haha, well, in honesty her floatiness was more of an accident than a deliberate choice in the original picture - if I redraw it I might sort of test it out both ways? I'd like to be able to convey her lightness, but at the same time it might look kind of jarring to have her make almost no impact on the couch cushions. I guess we'll see!

ah, well if you dont want to have it look odd maybe have the very edges be more transparent than her core? she is a cloud afterall or at least she is composed of cloud

That's actually a really cool idea! I will definitely test that out, that would help to visually explain her weightlessness so that the viewer wouldn't picture her as too solid and heavy. Thank you very much for that suggestion because that's actually a super neat way to solve the problem! c:

Haha, oh man, those god damn things! Not as bad as clefts, though. I think clefts had to be my main arch-nemesis of common enemies - all that defence! That and those daisies...basically everything from Twilight Trail, haha. I love Twilight Town/Trail so much but screw those enemies a lot, haha.

XD i pretty much lived on papermario when it first came out and spent a lot of time in dry dry desert/mt rugged, i have been abusing quake badges since XD clefts are not a pain for me


at least it is not the pit?

Oh same, it was basically my favourite N64 game. I think I mainly tricked out my jump attacks so clefts used to massively screw me over, haha. I was not smart with my badge allocations. :L 

The pit, oh man. Yeah. At least it's not the pit. xD

Hey, man, I'm happy to admit the faults in my picture. Weird face, wonky perspective, hair doesn't look right with the way the rest of it's shaded, the entire sofa is coloured really awkwardly...I could go on.

There's no need to insult me because you took my work without my permission. You had no right to use it, and if you're angry because I didn't like that, consider only using people's work once they've told you that you can.
