I had tried to figure out how to do this particular theme and then I had an epiphany concerning my charrie Fiyona.See, she's a mutant, her powers work with Pheromone manipulation which can be used to rather make anyone like you and think you're the best or even attract someone to you. She was able to make herself quite popular easily with her powers and also get dates easily by manipulating how someone was attracted to her. However, her power got quite out of hand and eventually got one young man so attracted to her that he raped her.
This depicts the after effects.
She's 16 in this picture.
Since that incident, Fiyona doesn't really use her powers any more and took up hiding out in the circus, dropping out of high school as she was afraid of what might else happen if she stayed.
Poor Fiyona...

i can sort of relateto her i was raped when i was about 7/8 maybe and it scarred me for life so its a pretty important topic that need's to be adressed because others are slowly ignoring it and its happening even more often then it used to so hopefully this gets the word out and i have to admit this character looks lovely and i would love to see more art of her

sorry for super late reply. I agree, that the topic overall of attack and the like has been overlooked or starting to be passed off as no big deal. Especially I've noticed because of the attack coming from a person of the same gender- somehow that makes it okay. Taking something so precious from a person and making them feel guilty for it is a horrid thing to pretend isn't a problem.
I'm sorry that event happened to you and I hope you have found or are still finding ways to heal. Thank you for this comment, my love and well wishes go out to you and yours.

The light and darkness values in the shading are amazing in this.
Paticularly the hair.
And the bruised colorations on her inner thigh and arms...

Yeah, I can relate to this too. You definitely captured that hollow, helpless feeling that follows, where all you can do is curl up in a corner and cry. Very well done.
Also, I like the way you did the socks. The folds in the wrinkled sock's pattern are great.

Really wonderful pose, perfect for the situation you described. I love the different colours, her eccentric attire (with the missing shoe etc), it all just fits so perfectly. Really emotional and thought provoking, good job!

..Ow. Here I am just randomly going through your gallery and I find a picture like this. I know the feeling, too... and it kiiiinda makes me feel a bit like crap seeing this.

It's a real issue that can be very touchy for sure and I am no way mocking such an event- I simply feel the need to portray realistic events, even in my characters lives. I'm sorry it bugged you as the subject, but I think that can happen to anyone with anything in particular. But yes, you can hug her now. xD;
I avoided doing much to the bg because it was suppose to be more abstract to illustrate how she was feeling, not so much a realistic bg. So no worries, but I had my reasons for keeping it so simple.

Yeah Powers that go their own way can be very bad, poor girl That picture makes me wanna hug her and telling her that the guy who did that won't be able to life a normal life ever again *goes to stalk him*

Rape is something that you never really get over. You just get use to the pain and fear and go numb or you go insain. If you call living with part of your soul dead and the other part so bound in fear the it stops feeling it actually living. There are many victims of Rape, and I hate to say it but I do not believe that there are any true survivors of it. To survive you must be able to heal and rape leaves mental, and emotional scars that never really do. Those who are called survivors are really those who have learned to deal with the daily pain and fear or those that have grow so use to it that they just don't care anymore and ignore or worse yet decide that they aren't going to let it control they and act rashly in spite of it to the point of putting themselves in a danger again to prove to themselves that they are in charge. It can be a very nasty and destructive cycle...
