Hmm, the design of that robot is something i can't make up my mind. It's either gotta be a robot that harvests mineral materials (rather inefficient and restricted due to lack of manipulators and only being able to dig downwards) or an archaeological digger (also inefficient and restricted for the same reasons).
Though, perhaps given a setting, i can see it perhaps being used for punching through hatches or floors in some cases? Albeit this'd be a very contextual and specific design, for instance when encountering a vast underground structure only accessible via breaching very tough hatches, or perhaps a large terraformation structure in which you drill through the ceiling to get through. This'd have the unfortunate implication of said structure either having a very thin ceiling (relatively speaking) or losing the unit upon digging through.
Perhaps it's for emergency entrenchment and storage, allotting it's position as an infantry accompaniment to carry equipment and create cover at a rather quick pace?
Those little laser things on the bottom might actually have some other utility other than breaking rocks/metal though, so i can't really be sure on what the machine is supposed to do, as a whole.

It's a device that destroys armoured vehicles by latching onto them drilling them apart. So you're not far off. It's not my design though.

Great work man and I really like the details of that terror drone.

Thanks, I always liked the result of this myself. It's a difficult technique for me to work with though.

No problem and you mean the drone?

I mean I usually work with a clearly defined lineart to guide the shape and colors, while this picture as a whole generally doesn't have that. It mostly an underlying difference in the process.

Interesting take on these two units from different sides.
Supongo que al husky sovietico no le gusta tanto el desierto. XD

The picture wasn't very well-planned, so the creature on top sort of just became a German Shepherd and I didn't even think about the fact that the Soviets use Siberian Huskies until late in the process... But I think that seeing how they come from different sides only adds to the mood I was going for(And I agree that the GSD would be more comfortable in such a climate =3).

And speaking about why I said that thing down there.
This is no problem to steal enemy technology and build both a German Shepherd and the spider.

Haha, that is true. The Apocalypse tank is epic, I was meaning to draw one. I was also meaning to draw the Thor from SC2... Hmmmmm, idea!
I used to play the game a lot, but not much during recent years. Had a quick revisit at a LAN party this fall though, it was fun.

In my local city network I'm the best in RA2 and Warhammer40k: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade. SC is just a little bit hard for me. Also, my computer is now not cool enough to play sc2 comfortly on.

SC2 is quite fast and demanding, not an easy game but it's tons of fun when things are going your way. Personally I prefer to play on a team with some friends... I've been playing a bit too much recently though, so it's had a negative impact on schoolwork and personal projects
Can't say I've played any Warhammer40k games, however.

I've completed the Terran campaign. and watched all those teasing battle videos of SC2 until it actually came out
I know the game is funny, and I'd give its' lan gaming a try, if my computer would be able to run it >.>

Erk, system requirements and other problems make PC gaming a hassle.
I was actually lucky enough to get a beta key from a friend, so I've been playing the game since before it was even out, too. :3

I live in Russia(In Belarus, actually, but that's not a big difference) - do you remember our situation with digital pirates? :3

I know software piracy and "counterfeit goods" are widespread in Russia, but not much else

We both know that the main goal of the game(and the most common way to win) is to either build a huge bunch of Apocalypse tanks(if you play the Soviets), or steal technology from the Soviets and then build a huge bunch of Apocalypses(if you're playing for the Alliance).
God, I love this game
