It looks amazing but I'd have him look a bit more feline (longer fingernails, thinner legs) also not sure if youre going for this tone but at the moment he doesn't look like the grinning Cheshire cat, I'd give him a Glasgow smile if u want it all dark or a big grin

I don't know why, but when I first saw this I thought of Johnny Depp. Anyway, great concept, especially the smile and the overall color.

As SilverShadow1711 said, it's nice to see a human form of Cheshire that isn't girly or too 'teen'.
Personally, I loved the goatee.

I love this.. Although.. My only thing is when I picture the Cheshire Cat, I see two things, one being the combination of bright and dark colors, and two being the wisp of smoke when he vanishes.. This may just be me, but I wouldn't mind seeing him wearing a more royal purple, at least as an accent, like the straps hanging down or the lining of the vest. You definitely got the outfit right- sleek, suave, and probably more flexible than it appears (as the Cat himself was quite the acrobat, if I remember correctly, for being such a large cat). Only thing to that is maybe change the shoes. As for his hair, maybe consider something just a tiny bit lighter? I like the choice of skintone (or lack thereof). Anyway, going to my second point.. Tophat, monocle, and a pipe. Okay.. No tophat. He can just steal the hatter's when he wishes.. But I would definitely love to see him posed against a wall with a pipe in mouth. The Cat's always been a badass to me..
Don't get me wrong here; I love the design, but I, personally, just picture a slightly different color scheme..
And I love this project you're doing as well as a lot of other stuff in your gallery

Glad you like it, at the moment this whole project is undergoing a major overhaul, so I may take some of your suggestions into consideration - i'm liking the pipe particularly, so anyway watch this space as the entire Wonderland thing is starting to move in a much different direction than I had previously intended.

Awesome.. I could picture the story in almost any setting really.. The only other idea I would take a look at is maybe making him shorter

As apparent by my icon and info, I loves me some Cheshire Cat. This cat is AWESOME. I want that costume lol. My only request about this one though, to get a better feel for his skin shade could I get him with a different color back round?

glad you like him - his skin is a kind of a pale purple, but you'll be able to see that better when i paint up a full rendered character shot

Oh, I love how manly he looks. Most people (myself included, sadly) tend to draw a humanoid cheshire cat as a bit effeminate. This is a refreshing change of pace.
So is your Wonderland project going to be a graphoc novel or more like a story book? I'd be interested in either.

im glad you like him, as for the project I'm not sure if it will be a graphic novel or heavily illustrated storybook, or maybe something in between, I'm still working out the universe so the format will have to wait til i get my head around everything else.

cant put my finger on it really, it felt like disney's version of a tim burton movie, kind of like it was phoned in. I dont think it had any real heart or soul, and also like it wasnt really trying.
