Also, here is a good enough point to plop in the backstory notes i have so far

Keep in mind, my megaman x lore knowledge is limited, so some things may change. Also, these are notes and not a full fledged back story

X crash lands on the planet in a pod (was captured and thrown into space by Sigma), near death, when samus stumbles upon the crash pod as X is leaving it. Samus readies her canon to blast him, asking who is he. He explains himself and she walks over, giving him a hand and gives him the support to walk. Before they can exit the cavern, there is a loud crash. Ridley enters, which sends Samus into a shock, paralyzing her before the first blow. It knocks her over, mortally wounding her. X, furious, uses a large charge blast, critically injuring Ridley, causeing them to retreat for a moment.

Samus, near death and unable to move and X not far off from it, he decides to fuse with her, to try and save them both, not realizing she is human in a suit of armor and not just a robot. (possibly able to fuse due to something with the X virus?)

It causes a new reaction and fuses their bodies into a new one with both robotic and organic parts. They have seperate mentalities and do not agree on this at first. It becomes a bit of a power struggle of who has more will power who controls the body. Samus has a duty to finish her mission on the planet (and kill ridley) while X needs to go and take care of business with Sigma before he destroys all of humanity.Samus is furious at first, thinking X only absorbed her as a way to upgrade himself, but he argues that it was the only way they both could continue living.

Their story plays out by them trying to find a way to defuse and get both of their original bodies back while also trying to accomplish both their missions.At some point, they start working together and Mega Aran becomes their own person.
