boring. was bored. am bored.just occupying my time. nothing good, i know.
EDIT: just for brentie, i fixed the blurry. [in all reality, it was driving me nuts too, but i didn't have time to repair it right away. also, i sorta wanted to hear him notice it, because i knew he would. ah well, it's all fixed now!] lol i still love you, brent.

this is a really cute shot, unfortunately thats the only word I can use to describe it (unless there's a thesaurus under my chair let me check... nope none)
I think the main reason I like this is because you aren't typical ballet shape (sorry if that's offensive in any way, I have a horrible habit of accidentally insulting people then making it worse by rambling...) and people tend to forget that not all dancers are twigs.
anyway back to the point (pardon the pun) great pic and I'll go and glance through your gallery now.

thanks much! haha you don't offend me at all; 16 years of looking at myself in mirrors next to other dancers has made it clear that i'm not the typical ballet dancer. i'm glad you noticed, in fact!

That'd be the thing I was never able to figure out about ballerinas.
How do they stand on their toes like that? I've tried it. Got a few sprained toes for my trouble. O_o

thank you for all of your comments; i apologize for not responding lately, but i've been out of town, and not really able to spend time on DA.
as for ballerinas, the shoes are merely glue and satin--no wood, for the record [many people think they are wood]--and being on pointe is quite painful at first. blisters are inevitable, and pointe shoes definitely affect your foot's shape a bit.
basically, the dance training teaches a dancer how to balance on her toes correctly and in the least painful way, and the shoes make the metatarsal supported enough to hold up the whole body.
hope that explains why you probably shouldn't try it yourself. i'm sorry about those sprained toes!

actually, yes, it was raining when i took the pictures. so i kept cleaning off the lens, but yeah, it got there as i was posing during the timer, i guess. i was very annoyed when i noticed it later, and i tried to hide it/photoshop it. actually, i bet i can fix it, i just got a clever idea how to repair the problem. i'll have to do it when i have time.
