Maple is a very nice girl, who always makes sure to be respectful to everyone she speaks to. You could say she walks on eggshells around everyone, watching every word she says. The last thing she wants is to accidentally upset anyone. Due to this, she is yet to have offend anyone in conversation, but her anxiety has progressively gotten worse because of this mindset. Regardless, she is willing to swallow her fear if she has to talk to someone, and because of her normally quiet nature, many people have seen her as great outlet for their emotions. People will vent to her, and Maple has become a really good listener because of it. However, it is extremely rare for her to work up the courage to offer advice.
Nervous / Anxious / Antisocial
Maple, to be blunt, is a nervous train wreck. She feels like extroverts who talk to her are pitying her, and she gets really flustered around boys. Even when those people are taken out of the equation, she still feels nervous around everyone else. It takes her a lot of time to get used to someone and not feeling like vomiting around them (let alone feeling comfortable around them). A lot of her nervousness has derived from her mother's abuse towards her, but she was bound to have some anxiety even if her mother was kind. Many people think that she wouldn't be a great performer due to how scared she is all the time, but she's actually fine when performing. Maple doesn't have stage fright, but the idea of talking to the audience makes her feel sick.

|Relationships|
Callie
- Maple was initially anxious around Callie, and still kind of is. Her loud, outgoing nature couldn't be more opposite to Maple's quiet, timid nature. It took a lot of time for Maple and Callie to have the relationship they have now, and it's not as if things have progressed very far. Maple sees Callie as an acquaintance at best, of course Callie doesn't realize this and totally sees Maple as one of her BFF's. A lot of the progress made in their relationship was because of Naomi's help, with her suggesting to Callie to act a little calmer around Maple, and suggesting to Maple to try to be a little braver and more openminded when dealing with Callie. Their relationship has heavily improved with Naomi's helped (considering where it started at), and it continues to grow.
Naomi
- Naomi was the person who welcomed Maple into their friend group. Naomi noticed her, all alone, during their National Honor Society meetings at school. Naomi eventually invited Maple to sit next to her during a meeting, and being to nervous to say no, Maple accepted. Naomi began to realize how nervous Maple was, and was determined to help break her out of shell. Maple originally thought that Naomi pitied her, but as time went on, she kept getting and stronger and stronger vibe from Naomi that the opposite was only true. Naomi soon introduced Maple to their friend group, and the rest is all history. Naomi to this day is still the person Maple feels the most comfortable around, and Maple truly sees Naomi as a friend.
Darla
- Like with Callie (and everyone for that matter), Maple was anxious around Darla. Darla was a "Callie" in wolf's clothing in Maple's eyes, so it was only be expected that the shy and silent Maple would nervous around the confident and outspoken Darla. Soon, though, Maple began to feel less anxiety around Darla, and more of just straight up fear. Darla, unlike Callie, put herself in dangerous situations without giving it a second thought. Let's just say if Maple had a penny every time she feared for her life around Darla, she'd be pretty wealthy. Naomi does what she can to help their relationship, and she has helped a little bit. However, Maple is still a little bit afraid of Darla.
Cole
- Maple, like she is around all boys, became so flustered when Cole talked to her, she didn't know what to do with herself. Despite that, out of everyone in the group (besides Naomi of course) Maple became friends with Cole first. It took her a little bit of time, but Maple began to warm up to Cole. His calm nature really appealed to Maple, making her feel more comfortable around him. Their relationship has gotten to the point where she'll provoke a few conversations between, although it is still pretty. She has tutored Cole before when asked to, but she has even offered to him before. Considering how avoiding Maple is of people, this is a huge step.
Felix
- Maple at first was just a stuttering mess around Felix, being person at all made this inevitable, but he was also a boy, making things even worse for her. Maple's anxiety went down as she realized that he didn't actually care about her weirdness and was perfectly fine with her being around him. Knowing that she wasn't burdening him, Maple became friends with Felix. There was a slight bump in their relationship when she suspected that he could be a sociopathic serial killer, but Naomi stopped that though from running wild in her head a quickly as possible. Now, Maple feels like the time she spends with Felix one-on-one is very peaceful and relaxing. She feels like she can really talk to him, and even though he doesn't care, she considers him her friend.
Resc
- Maple felt really nervous around Resc when she first met him. He was a teacher, she was now going to be in a friend group with a teacher. She felt so anxious around him she wanted to die. However, Resc was really patient with her, and slowly but surely, she warmed up to him. She's still not as close to him as she is with Felix, Cole, and definitely not Naomi, but she still liked him. As she got closer to him, she found that talking with Resc was actually quite relaxing. Maple's anxiety, without her even realizing it, was slowly going down, and she was beginning to feel more confident too. Even though Resc doesn't realize how much he's helped her, Maple tries to let him know that she appreciates him, and that she sees him as a friend.
Jett
- When Maple first met Jett, she was petrified. She had never met anyone so angry or scary before in her entire life. Luckily, he never really talked to her, which made Maple feel more relieved. Jett was more focused on bullying the optimists of the group, which luckily couldn't have been more opposite to Maple. One day, however, her nervousness did get to Jett, and he freaked out on her. Maple escaped the situation in tears, and later on Jett did apologize (most because he was forced to by Naomi, but a small part of him was actually sorry). Things were pretty awkward between them after that. They don't hate each other now, but they aren't friends or anything like that.
Xoe
- Maple was terrified by Xoe the moment she laid eyes upon her. Of course, this isn't personal and Maple feels this way about anyone new, Xoe thought that Maple must've seen how powerful of a person she really was. Xoe could see how low Maple was on the social latter, and saw that she could take advantage of her. Xoe could smell Maple's fear like a predator, so she couldn't help but attack. Xoe was extremely rude and catty towards everything Maple did and say. This was way to much for Maple to handle, so she had no idea what to do with herself. Naomi got very upset at Xoe and forced her to apologize to Maple. Xoe did, and now Maple and her are neither friends nor enemies.
