Interesting... All roads lead to home. Earth, destination of two travelers. 'Nowhere', the destination of Rouge's father(Whose name I can't remember.... Does it start with a K?). Portal malfunction, caused random exit points, two points go to Earth, unlikely that it would happen from random chance, must be something that drew them there, perhaps the experiments of the scientists? Or could it be because of something else lurking on Earth? Hmm... Otherwise, it could have been a singular portal leading to Earth which they all went into, but Rouge's dad was pulled out of it into 'Nowhere' by that one creepy dude. Lots and lots to think about...
