Description
[SU #40]: Snively left his abusive uncle to free Regina Ferrum from Stormtop Village, and together they teamed-up to take down Eggman. But Eggman trounced them both and reassigned Regina to command a D.E.L. chapter while incarcerating Snively in a prison egg.Whoa! Sorry this page is uploaded late. I've been such in such a creative funk lately and catching stomach flu didn't help matters.
Page 10 is ready, so it will be uploaded on time next Monday. Anyway, Eggman gives his villain monologue, but it looks like Sonic is at his doorstep. He made it to the Death Egg already? Looks like Sally will be rescued soon...

Heck, both groups have practically the same dynamic.
I'm expecting to see "mecha" Sally just glitch big time and go from loyal servant to form her own breakaway team of disgruntled robots.

If you wonder why I did this, the truth is that Eggman got it reversed. Power is the poison that blinds people from the truth. Eggman's lust for power was his downfall in SatAM and all pre-Genesis comics.

Actually this page poses the question of which group of Legionnaires Regina has been assigned to browbeat. Unless you're about to create a whole new chapter (which I doubt since I suspect you'd tend to shy away from the idea of new OCs in a world that's already saturated with enough of its own characters), then we can only assume she's going to take charge of some that we know.

Good question. Eggman never specified which Legionnaires Regina will command in the comic, and the only D.E.L. chapter known in the Dragon Kingdom is the Raiju Clan. I would love to see her squabbling over command with Conquering Storm like this .

Well, another option is to split Conquering Storm's legion in half and have Regina assigned to a different portion of the Dragon Kingdom. Yeah, they're both dealing with less troops, but what are they going to do other than gripe about it? Neither one is in a position to negotiate.

Get him Sonic! Oh...and if you have time save Snively. He at least has a heart. Robotnik...yeah I think the tragedy of his life is that. He let his ego and great genius separate himself from everyone around him and vice versa. And from the sounds of his little speech about love, every encounter he ever had with it always turned out to be negative.

Me too. Honestly I prefer a good redemption arc for Snively but Lien-da is more likable.
But there's a dilemma: Lien-Da could be a very easy task to redemption. She's more reasonable thn the common power hungry guy. There are people she actually respect/care. Unfortunately all this things maks her also a good villain. More than all other current villains imho.
Snively in another hand is the hard one. He definitely need a change of allignment or personality. It's a fucking Gollum. The most annoying archetype of character. A weakling surrendered by people far more skilled and powerful than him, looking for power...for no reason thn power. Nothing in his past can justify his actions. And he never regret this even in front of his sister. He need to be something else...but everything seems too much unnatural for him.

Ha! I know, the last time we saw Sonic was on page 2-17 . That was last March! And do you really think Lien-Da can be redeemed? She doesn't have a virtuous desire like Snively's genuine love for Regina.

Lien-Da is essentially a slave to Eggman cause any false move will result in her being a splat on the wall. She may have malicious intentions but nowhere on Eggman's level. Its an interesting parallel to Sally's enslavement cause theyre both submissive to their master. The difference, is that Lien-Da has the choice to break free but she has to be crafty about it. On one of your pages, theres a scene where she has a concerned look on her face when looking at Mecha Sally bathing Eggman. Last panel. Its very subtle.
I interpret that as her inner conflict debating about her actions. It shows a sliver of remorse which can foreshadow her either helping Sally or teaming up with the freedom fighters to stop Eggman. I also sense this hesitation in her when theres scenes of her delivery orders. She has to, if she wants to live. Overall, she's trapped in a situation being coerced into obedience cause just like Sally, she's just another prisoner.

It's an arbitrary time. There's no indication in Archie Sonic of how much time has passed since Sally was roboticized, but I chose four months as a fair length to make her absence felt by her friends and family. Snively rebelled against Eggman and was defeated shortly after Sally's robotization, so he would be imprisoned for at least a couple of months.

Trying to imagine one of my friends turning against me in a murderous rampage who can track my every move forcing me to constantly be on my toes from him/her for 4 months. Thats like Terminator 1 style of fear geez. Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. Its just survive the day and try to the next.
