the Exploratori-Class destroyers were the first attempt to replicate Ori technology with standard technology

building on this, the Circuitus-Class cruisers were the attempt to reconstruct an Ori warship with this “reverse-engineered” technology, initially on a small scale

it is generally accepted that this goal has been fully achieved, at least as far as this is possible with standard technologies and materials

so with the LGF, it's not that the cruiser is a small version of the battleship, but the other way round, the battleship is more or less an enlarged cruiser

Although the Circuitus-Class cannot deny its Ori "origin", these ships, in their "conception", are more similar to the Teldy-Class, the Daedalus-Class and the Icarus-Class of the IUSP.

these ships are multi-functional, multi-purpose spaceships that are not only intended for military purposes, i.e. combat, but can also be used for more civilian tasks

so, the Circuitus-Class is not only used as a warship, but also as an explorer, survey, ambulance, supply, mining or transport ship

thus, this class is equipped with the same hangar capacity as the Exploratori-Class, although the cruisers have ten times the volume of the destroyers

this is only to a very small extent due to the larger crew

most of the additional space consists of multi-purpose rooms that can be equipped with scientific or medical equipment, for example

or serve as storage rooms
