Description

Here you can see a close-up of the U.S.S. Manticore from a different perspective.

Since there is no exact size information for this ship class (at least I have not found any on the Internet), for this reason, I chose a size that roughly corresponds to a D'deridex class warbird. So my Jupiter class has a size of 1390×730×324 meters.

Since the Jupiter class is a purebred carrier, in my opinion this ship class is not intended for direct ship combat. Therefore, these ships are armed only with six Type-IX phaser arraysand a single torpedo launcher at the rear for standard torpedoes.

These are used to defend against large enemy warships if the enemy manages to get to the carrier. In such a situation, however, the Jupiter Class should take a strategic retreat.
However, I see enemy small spacecraft, i.e. space fighters and shuttle, as the real danger for a carrier. These can get through the front rows much more easily, thus threatening ships further behind the front.
For this reason, my Jupiter class also has sixteen rotary phaser cannons with integrated micro torpedo launchers, such as those built into the defense sails of the DS9.

The Jupiter-Class carries as a Complement up to twelve wings. On the picture you can see four Thera-Class Space Fighters and two La-Garita-Class Runabouts. In this combination, a Jupiter-Class carrier has eight wing Thera-Class fighters and two wing La-Garita-Class runabouts.
