Description
Add a few drops of milk to a large glass container filled with water, take picture, rotate image 180 degrees, pump up the saturation and whala. Surreal! My original photo was very noisy (grainy), but Erik Collinder was kind enough to clean up the original and send it back to me. Thanks Erik!

i love this pic! i think that it would read more as some sort of organism is it did not have the vertical line in the front that attaches it to the surface/ground (since the orientation is flipped). the middle and rear lines read as some sort of supports for the organism since the lines are more interesting and match the over all organic quality of the form.
it is very beautiful... congratulations.

Looks like some sort of hybrid of jellyfish and one of those exotic fish with really veil-like fins (which possibly exist only in my imagination...)
If you want criticism, then I'd say it's a bit grainy. But I don't feel I have the right to criticise, really - I appreciate photography, but don't know how to do it myself. I'm more of a drawing person.

k, I'll be blunt. It's fucking horrible.
Disgusting, even.
I jest, of course, I like it personally.
But if you want brutality, I suppose I can indulge you. <3

It works really well. This is fantastic. Great job.

IT FUCKING SIMPLE, but effective. It's sharp but grainy. I don't have much brutal criticism, only a lame joke. It's good, but not surreal.

Great idea. Back in my "playing in water" phase (you know, yesterday... ) I did the milk-drops thing, but never thought to take a photo.
My critique, though, is not about the photo but about the attempt to link in your comments -- You need to include the HTML code (the [a href...] code) in order to turn the underlined word into a link, and on the same page you don't really need to, since anyone reading the comment is already on that (this!) page.

Keep up the awesome work.

With all due respect, this image is not the least bit surreal. You did not engage the unconscious, subconscious, or the irrational in the creation of this work. Formally and conceptually, this is an inherently abstract composition and should be categorized as such.

Hey,
I really like your stuff - I think you'd like a website i've been working with called IMPnow.com. It connects artists, musicians, writers, and actors with professionals who can help them further their carrer and (of course) connect them with fans. (also, you get alot of feedback from other artists and professionals in the business, tons of advice on how to improve) Its a great way to get your stuff noticed, and a welcome departure from myspace and facebook. If you have any questions, check out our FAQ's at [link] or contact me through this account, or my IMPnow account: [link]
Check it out!

It never ceases to amaze, the magnificence hidden in such simple things. A candle burning, droplets of water, tracing the leaves on a cherry blossom, or in your case milk. I think the photo is wonderful, keep bringing us the simple things.

Beautiful concept, it's just brilliant! I feel like it might look even better if painted by hand, but clearly done from a photo, so as to eliminate graininess. It would look like some sort of nightmare of a clay sculpture that isn't physically possible (that's actually what I thought it was before zooming in, or a 3d render perhaps...)
