Description It's been a long project and I'm getting ready to wrap this project as completed. I do have a few more things planned for it though.

I have learned a lot while working on this project, most notably about normal mapping geometry as I haven't done that before. This is also my first at using Quixel Suite. I still need to figure out a more effective work-flow for me with it but it sure is a fun piece of software and I can't wait to use it again on my next project.

Modeling, UV unwrap, normals baking etc in 3ds Max, textures and additional normal detail in Photoshop, NDO and DDO. Real-time rendering in 3DO.

It looks like the 1935 Trossi-monaco.

That was the main reference for the engine, yes.

Quick question, did you create a high poly piece for every part of this car of this is a combo of 'bake small details' and then generate whatever else you need manually?

I had a hipoly mesh of most of the objects in there. Some simpler stuff like the axles, rods and electric wires aren't baked. Car body is also without hipoly baked in.

Gotta say, you did a killer job on the textures

Will it be available for TM² by any chance, like you did with the V12 Goblin? ^^

Most likely not. It would need a matching driver in it and I have no interest in making characters. I'm a car guy!

Beautiful work mate. Back when I saw you post the radial engine, I had no idea that was for a larger project.

What's the final tri count?

At that time it wasn't. I got the idea of building something around the engine after it was done.

It's at 110k triangles and everything is unwrapped on one UV sheet.

Holy hell, one UV sheet? That's impressive. I'm assuming 4k?

4k, yeah.
