Old and outdated drawing of Scansoriopteryx heilmanni, also known to some by its synonym Epidendrosaurus ninchengensis, a sparrow-sized dinosaur that lived in the treetops during the late Jurassic of China and was feathered. It has long been known to have had an oddly elongated finger, but only more recently with the discovery of two related species, Yi qi and Ambopteryx, we know that members of its family, the scansoriopterygidae, would have had wings made of skin like a bat supported by that long finger. This outdated drawing shows it looking more like a bird than an odd fusion of animals, and I may draw an accurate one sometime later.Edit on 19th June 2020: ok here’s the accurate one www.deviantart.com/olmagon/art…
