Description
I am just practising my BG skills, expect to see a few more of these. They're fun to do once you have the base image done. This is a simple location design from my 5C story.
I'll try some rain and sunsets too. No chars for now, just focusing on the BG, but maybe I will add in cars and stuff later on.
Hand drawn rough image and cleaned up on CS4

Hey look we are now catching a glimpse from the other side of the street (literally). That rooftop is where Gradius was laying down

Nice, but that would definitely NOT be my favorite stoplight to be at, I'd be afraid to be rear-ended or stopping on a rainy day. >_<
I can see some city roadwork doing it like that however.

A few streets in Sandiego come to mind north of the gaslamp district. I will put scrapes on the dip part.

I can totally see it happening though some of the city planners aren't that bright
As for the scraps, the "Worn Universe" look is always a plus

The detail you put in to your work, its beatiful to say the least. I need to work harder so one day I can put as much detail into my own work.

It was so enlightning to watch this being done. Uber hax for pipe brush (or style), palm trees, filling selections, making textures. But most importantly, dancing buildings and palm trees. So haxlucinating...

I think you need to have more extreme's in the night drawing. Like you shouldn't be able to really see inbetween the buildings, behind the plants, etc. But that is just my opinion

very nice work.
i would suggest hinting at human, activity at the ground level... litter, grafitti, oil stains near the garage doors, etc.
great work all the same.

That curve in the road kind of confused me until I realized it was a slope.

Really nice work Omar! Your BG's are always so detailed, if you dont look closely you might miss something like an assassin lol
But I feel like the smaller [icius] sign should be lit up, in the night bg.
