This is the first cover for the Robotech Preview of Shadow Chronicals comic that came out in 2005.About 2 weeks after this I got married, so i was running like crazy to get this done and manage things for the wedding too,

Apart from the AFC-01 "Alpha" fighters don't appear to be to scale with what I assume is Super Dimension Fortress #3 in drydock, it's quite an impressive piece.

They did totally "white-up" Vince and Jean Grant, didn't they? Anywho, nice work man. My bro and I were trying to find a place that actually sold these, but no luck at the moment.

Yeha i brought up some other things that didnt quite match either such as:
Vince is actually 6'7" while Rick is the same height as Lisa Haynes which is about 5'7"! Somehow they are now the same height at 6'.
Ship proportion was another thing i was really careful about too, but in the end my task was to stay true to the references that were given to me, so i appologize for inaccuracies, it was beyond my control lol!

Oh yeah, no problem man. If anything goes wrong, my bro and I will just blame Harmony Gold. We're firm believers that the efforts shoulda been taken to actually complete something closer to The Sentinels itself. But heck, if it does well, that's still good.
But naw, your cover is slick dude. No qualms there. You did the project some justice. You draw some nice vehicles and buildings too. You must have your ruler next to you at all times!

The trick is just to draw small thumbnails and doa bunch of them. Since they are small and void of any substantial detail, you can change your mind often and belt out a lot of ideas fast.
Once you see one you like then you work it up, and go from there.

Wow this is a great pic. I am a hugh Robotech fan but I never got to see the new Chronicles stuff and I did not even know they made a comic.
