Description

     Tarran awoke to something strange and new one winter morning. Having woken up earlier usual, he grabbed his hat and put it on before dashing to the cave entrance. He planned to run around before Braith and Rock woke up. When he reached the entrance though, he stopped in his tracks. As far as the eyes could see, the world was blanketed in white. Tarran stared at this white stuff in awe, and he poked the stuff in front of him with his paw. It was cold and melted on his paw when he took it back out. Was this that... snow? He had heard other Wyngro talking about it and how it would be coming soon, what with the cold weather. Some Wynglings had talked about fun things you could do in the snow, such as snow angels, or building a snow-gro. Maybe he could try doing one of those things! Tarran cautiously waded into the snow, then started running. He jumped into a snow drift and dug his way out, excited by this new thing. After a few more minutes of running, he decided to try building a snow-gro. Maybe he could surprise the other two with it. He rolled a ball of snow in his paws and began rolling it in the snow to add more snow to it. The snowball gradually grew larger and larger, and Tarran was struggling to keep pushing the ball. He finally was unable to push it any further, it was too heavy for him. He tried to push it again, and sat down in the snow. The snow-gro needed to be bigger, but there was no way he'd be able to make it any bigger.
     The snow crunched behind Tarran, sounding like footsteps. Tarran perked up and turned to look in the direction of the noise. A gray quad approached where Tarran was sitting. Jumping up, Tarran greeted the adult gro cheerfully. "Hello there!" The quad came to a halt in front of him. "Hey there." He looked at the large snowball next to Tarran and asked, "What are you building?"
     Tarran glanced at his failed attempt. "It was supposed to be a snow-gro... But I can't get it as big as I want it to be...", he said, his ears drooping slightly.
     The gray Wyngro paused, thinking for a moment. "I could help you out. Just direct me and tell me how big you want it."
     Tarran raised his ears. "Really? Thanks... uhhh.." The adult smiled and said, "I'm Mika."
     With a smile on his face, Tarran responded, "I'm Tarran! Now, let's build that snow-gro!"
      It took a while, and a lot of work, but the two Wyngro finally completed Tarran's snow-gro. The two stood back to look at the completed project, Tarran jumping excitedly. "It looks so cool! I can't wait to show Braith and Rock this! Thank you so much Mika!"
     "Heh, no problem. I needed to do something fun", Mika responded.
     Tarran turned to run back to the cave entrance but stopped. He asked, "Hey would you like to come in for breakfast? We should be having it soon."
     Mika shook his head. "No thank you, I need to continue searching. Thank you for the offer though."
     "Searching...? For what?", Tarran asked, tilting his head.
     "... I'm searching for someone very close to me." Mika lowered his head slightly, and continued. "She's been missing for a couple of weeks and I'm worried."
     Tarran thought for a moment, and suggested, "Have you tried looking in spots that are special to you both or maybe somewhere she considers safe?"
     "Hmm, I'll try that." Mika gave Tarran a small smile. "Thank you Tarran."
     Tarran beamed. "No problem, Mika! Good luck on your search!" With those words he turned and dashed back to the cave, eager to show his family his creation.

I almost thought it wouldn't get this done on time, the story took quite a bit of time to write. It was my fault for starting later in the week though. I think I'm finally getting used to adult anatomy, which is good.
