The full size picture...well it's smaller version anyway. Hope all you dragon fans out there like it. And to all those naysayers out there who say that this was an "overdone" pose, I ask you to recount the number of sleeping dragons you can recall seeing. I can think of two for myself, Smaug in the original Rankin Bass version of the Hobbit, and the dragon in Dragonslayer. Every other dragon I have seen is usually roaring, or attacking, or breathing some form of breath weapon....Related content

Thanks! About 8 hours total on the shade and linework with a pencil, then scan and color in Photopaint was around 12 hours... So I guess around 20 hours total... it was a couple of months back, that I finished it. I'm glad ya like it, seems alot of folks like this piece, so I guess I hit the nail on the head. *grins*

Lol!! Yeah, I can remember seeing like, two or three random pics of dragons sleeping as well and no more than that. But I dun remember where or by whom. This is a really nice pic. That would have sold pretty well at the MidSouth Con last week had it been there. ^^
