Description
A monster of lore that lives in the Amazon rainforest. Apparently some cryptozoologists have jumped on it as being proof that giant ground sloths live today (or even smaller circles that call BIGFOOT...), while ignoring some of the awesome variations, such that is has scales, or backwards feet, or a mouth on his stomach. I wish I didn't just grab that from Wikipedia, but it's hard finding good sources on obscure beasties amidst a bunch of cyptid and LOST sites.Green-Haired Magical Girl was originally an excuse for me to draw a bunch of monsters, before it got foe yay all over it.

I'm pretty sure if these guys were real they'd be giant sloths and those second mouths were just pouches. Wouldn't it make more sense biology wise? Plus, don't you think a group of primitive people who have never seen a marsupial think a pouch was a mouth?

I love your version of this monster, and the style is gorgeous. It seems a frame from some animation like 'Samurai Jack' and so.

So many people say 'Spirited Away' when the first thing that pops into my head is "IT'S A LAGAAN!"
I like how he looks like a relativly nice beasty once you get away from the gapping, fanged mouth on his stomach. And I gotta say, I adore more and more the way you draw gnarly teeth. Just something about seeing gums and the odd angles just makes me smile. And the orange/green/purple color combinations of this is actually a pretty interesting match up!

Yay! Obscure mythological creatures! I'm giddy with excitment. I like this one a lot. I especially like that the top head looks so confused/innocent, but the belly face is craaazy evil.

It reminds me of No-face (IN THE MOST GENERAL TERMS) from [i]Spirited Away[/i] in the whole face-is-not-where-you'd-think-it'd-be kinda thing.
