I hadn't attempted to draw Requiyen's room in nearly ten years or something... the only time I tried, was honestly a pretty lazy attempt using lots of copy-paste BS, and I don't think I ever finished because backgrounds were overwhelming and scary to me so I avoided it, then I lost the file...But I finally did draw it! ...Or at least one side of it.
Requiyen is that weird type of person who is perpetually stuck between introvert and extrovert. He's constantly torn between wanting to be alone so he can work on shit (in his case, dissecting bodies and other science-nerd shit gone fucked up) and being obnoxiously hyper and social... then being unable to make up his mind starts to bother him and he just sulks about bored doing neither.

Thank you! And that actually is exactly what I do. The "inking"/final outline, coloring, and shading/lighting I add in digitally but I initially draw everything with pencil. And sure, I'll check your gallery

Yeah, things where the setting is irrelevant are the still hard for me, too; at least when the setting has to be specific for the rest of the drawing to make sense, it's just a matter of actually taking the time to draw it out.

I wish I had a real eye in a jar; but eyes rot/get eaten by bugs so fast, unless you actually kill the thing or somehow obtain one from some medical type place, you're unlikely to just find one :/

Did you never have to dissect frogs or anything in school? They're typically preserved with formaldehyde and it smells just awful. XP

Bottles of toxic formaldehyde lying around half-open, suspicious bag whose contents resemble a humanoid figure, car-tire-stealing-style cinderblocks for a bedframe, I love the incredible amount of detail put into this. Very elegant use of solid lines for lighting too, like inverted crosshatched shadows. It's a very unique effect and you make it work as well as the more graduated painted lighting I usually see.
