It's been a while since I've drawn something dreary or fucked up, so have both in one!I actually tried to draw this scene once before, about 6 or so years ago. But I was lazy and never finished.
After Ichibay died, Requiyen snuck out, dug up his brother's grave and tried to bring him back. But it didn't work. Some reapers' abilities to bring back the dead will heal wounds in the process, even if the body is severely damaged. Requiyen's abilities are not that strong. Ichibay's throat was slashed and it'd been a day or two at that point. Too little, too late.

Poor guy... i know the feeling. Its weird to hold someone you loved after they died, they "move" or feel like they are moving, and your eyes play tricks on you, or maybe its your brain, telling you they may have taken a breath just then.. so you watch them ,intent on the slightest bit of movement only to be disappointed. Its trippy in the worst possible way.

I think you do, at least for a while anyways... like, when i lost my first service ferret, it was out of nowhere. We had no idea she was sick, and she was just suddenly gone in 3 days...cancer. .. it felt like my heart had been ripped out, like physically. It hurt so much, even when i was entirely beside myself with grief, it still got through. It was a pain i had never felt before then, it just felt like a really sharp, almost tearing pain in my chest. I heard that heart strings can actually break in moments of extreme grief, i honestly wonder if thats true...

I love morbid shit like this, particularly people holding onto the dead bodies of their companions. And seeing Requiyen's reaper powers in action (and in color) is pretty fuckin' sweet.
