Description
Pardon me for the nudity at first. - -" since that's the only scan left in the pc.well after so long procrastinating, here's a basic tutorial on how to colour digitally using photoshop and painter (optional).
as you can see i was my usual lazy self when doing this so when you're trying it urself make sure to put more effort than what i did in here.

aha i don't really prefer to use tools/layers dodge or or burn.
i prefer to just choose the colour myself because it gives me more control over how i want the colours to look like (the reason why i din say anyting about those 2). for me at least

well that's the only program that i use to colour.
painter is just optional.

Ah ha, so THAT'S how you get a layer with only line art on it... I just used the magic wand, then adjusted levels.

Gerath tutorial, I might have to try some of it meself.
While it is entirely up to the artist, another option for the lineart is to set the layer to multiply. Then you dont have to worry about clearing out the white areas and possibly losing line quality. (or at least I had that problem)

true i used to make it into multiply and put it at the top too.
but the only advantage by having only the lineart is that its easier to change the line's colour by simply locking the layer.

Very cool, although I thought the text was a bit small and hard to read. Luckily for me, I have a Firefox extension which allows me to zoom images on the fly!

well sry bout that! >.<
i had to make the size smaller than what i planned on uploading since devart won't accept something much bigger than 12000 pixels. ><
