"Your two weeks over due!..." Arlene said snidely.

Lea just kept his typical smirk on, "Hey don't worry, we can cover this..."

"I'm the one who'll have to cover this one Lea..." Isa said shaking his head and putting the cards of Munny on the counter. "Just like last time."

Lea suddenly leaned on the counter as Arlene stamped the books.

"Hey don't be mad..." Lea coaxed.

"I'm not mad, I'm annoyed.." Arlene said tilting her gold tinted glasses at him.

"Come on, I'll make it up to you somehow Arley..." Lea insisted. "What'll it take to make you see I'm not that bad of a guy?"

"Promising to return your books to the archives on time MIGHT be a start...or growing the other half of your brain, which ever works for you more.." Arlene said frankly, stamping another book.

"Alright it's a promise Arley.." Lea said extending his hand.

"A promise, from you?" she said chuckling.

Raising a brow at her Lea said, "And hey when I make a promise, I keep it, got it memorized?"

Arlene sighed, "Have the books you just checked out back before next Tuesday, got that memorized?"

Lea put the books under his arm. "Sure thing Arley."

Arlene groaned;"Lea. I've told you how I feel about that stupid nick name."

"Doesn't look stupid on you." Lea said smirking.

"You like being in trouble don't you?" Arlene said taking her glasses off.

"Well, you enjoy busting, me so I keep at it." Lea said, forcing her to smirk herself.

"Come on Lea." Isa said, "We're going to be late to the academy exam too.."

"Sure thing Isa my man..." Lea said turning and walking with his blue haired friend.

Arlene bit down on her glasses stem, watching the fiery topped walk by the book shelves towards the door. She saw his hand suddenly go up and wave at her, before going behind his head with his other hand as he walked off.

She scoffed and went back to her work...but smiling this time.
