Description
In honor of the series GOTHAM coming to FOX, I decided to make animated snippets of the Children of Gotham and what they went through to propel them to the men and woman who terrorized or saved the city.

That went very well (I felt) so I decided to finish it off by doing a sub-series: Before the Cowl, about Batman's sidekicks before the cowl came on.

Monologue will follow each piece depicting what's gone through each childs mind at the time of their inception.

This particular picture focuses on Barbara Gordon(Batgirl) and Tim Drake(Robin III)

Two motivated children, with an unrest stirring in them...never to back down from a fight when it means protecting somebody. Both looking up to heroes, neither realizing how much like them they would become.

Barbara:"I heard the gunshot..."

Tim:"I heard the screaming..."

Barbara:"I grabbed a bat and came downstairs..."

Tim:"I picked up a pipe and ran down the alley..."

Barbara:"I heard mom crying, and dad trying to talk someone down...he sounded hurt..."

Tim:"They were standing over a homeless girl, I told them to back off..."

Barbara:"He said for dad to think of his two kids, to think of me...that he should've sat on the case..."

Tim:"They told me I picked the wrong night to care...and to start running..."

Barbara:"I had to worry about someone gunning him down every night on the streets. No one was going to do it a foot from me, not in my own house...not with me there..."

Tim:"I don't care how many times it's done to me, I NEVER run out, on ANYONE..."

Barbara:"...And certainly not for living what he taught us..."

Tim:"I yelled for them come on then, I lied and said I wasn't afraid...and for some reason...they looked scared and backed away..."
