It is the year of our lord 1893, and Moriarty's threat has gone from the world, an obvious power vacuum stirs the criminal underworld into a tizzy, as the mentally superior Sherlock and his clever friend Watson begin busts across the globe to see to it that the vacuum stays that way...but along their travels they hear distressing news of a rash of murders being performed across Europe, murders and elaborate robberies and vandalism's that appear to have no connection, unless their lack of connection is the connection...

People lay dead with gruesome smiles carved into their faces, joker playing cards are left at the scenes, and the same ominous trademark foreshadows the coming of the perpetrator; a sickeningly maniacal laugh like a hyena herald the coming and elusive escapes of this villainous monster.

When Holmes and Watson meet a man who's been following this man from the America's named, Jimmeny Gordon, they are opened up to an intricate web far more elaborate and chaotic then that of Moriarty. He needs no empire, no meticulous system, his mind is the cipher, and his following is cultish, and his followers, secretly mad men masquerading as the sane.

What Holmes and Watson discover is beyond recall as they realize that they must match whits with a man who's mind is not his own, and a sense of humor that exists to irradiate society and stability, starting with London England.

This was something I made back in 2009, depicting what would happen if The Dark Knight's joker existed in Victorian England in the time of Sherlock Holmes
