Description
On errand to catch the vigilante known as Hit-Girl, the colossal titan known as Annie Leonhardt is accosted into a trap set by her friends. Ghost Rider descends from the helicopter, ensnaring her in his chain whip, and pinning her down.
"Look into my eyes..." he says. Immediately flashes of her past sins cascade through her mind, torrents of what she should have felt but did not, flood her heart. It all results in her having a coma of guilt or chastisements....rendering the female titan immobile in time for the heroes to escape

I'm not being harsh, but I hate when people tag Annie as some kind of bitch just because she killed Levi's team in no time (especially with the Petra's death for those who ships Levi x Petra). Annie is not really a bad person anyways (God, she even felt remorse when fell down and crush the people of the Walls cult while fighting Titan Eren). The reasons for her to kill people are still not revealed, but it seems that she wants to met her father again to solve stuffs, and well we still know nothing about the other titan shifters intentions of killing people and why they're trying so hard to take Eren with them, so I think that is too early to make assumptions.

Ooookay.
First of all. One, Ghost Rider's penance stare doesn't seek out the darkest of the dark, it brings whatever wrong's you've done to full physically felt manifested light, and since she IS responsible in the complicity of the murder of thousands of men women and children....as well as her own killing's of her own team mates, yes, the effects of the penance stare is going to work on her.
That aside, remorse or no remorse, what she did and what she's allowed to happen, is strictly speaking evil.
I do not call her a bitch, nor really do I say she is evil in any of my comments or descriptions. But neither you nor any rational being can deny that she does have a degree of wickedness to her just like anyone else who would know about mass genocide, of their supposed friends and commrads and say nothing or do nothing.
THIRD of all, the smiles she has, and the all be it "fun" or amusement she has when she's swinging the survey corp guy like he's a key chain....amongst other various kills. One could really argue her "innocence or victimhood of it all." She spares Armin, we know this, but why just him?
All this being said, I'd say that while we can't simply ASSUME as to why she's doing this, we CAN make the conclusion that what she, and her cohorts are doing, is wrong, deliberate, and evil.
That's no assumption.

Wow! Hold on there bud! I didn't say you were the one who call her a bitch...
May be you see the titans killing people as something gross and terrible, but in the other hand, who really know if the titans are actually the bad guys as they're portrayed and not the human kind? I personally think that the human kind get what they deserve, a punishment for their thirst for power and control over everything and anything, don't you agree?
Anyways, that's what I think about the titans in general, oh, and I'm sorry if my previous comment bothered you so much.
Have a nice day.

I'll counter with this.
Eren, Mikasa, Armin, their families, oh and let's not forget freckle face, and EREN's MOM ^_^
we all know that she had it coming. Rotten stinking humanity.....How dare Eren's mom be human? How dare that old couple that got gobbled up. There are corrupt police officers and officials, and businessmen in that town, so because of that, they all should die.
Even if they are created to wipe humanity from the face of the Earth because of how bad they are, it's based off how bad they CAN be as opposed to how bad they are in actuality.
Annie and the Armored titan (who's identity i know of) and the Colossal titan (who's identity i also know) Have a part to play in the death of Eren's mother and every other innocent person that died in those attacks. Bad people included. But their death's do not justify the man slaughter of the previous.

Then what about the people from Connie's hometown? It's been hinted that they turned into titans when the Survey Corps went to check if there were any survivor in the town, and they surprinsingly discovered that the amount of people that lived in that town was exactly the same amount of titans that were approaching over there? Plus, the town didn't even suffered any major damage than some collapsed houses (well, to be more especific, Connie's house was crumbled); even Levi after learning about that, he was horrified that all what he did was flying around slaughtering the titans that could've been human beings.
Oh yeah, and what about Irwin Smith's rol as the Survey Corps commander? He's ready to sacrifice whatever amount of soldiers with no hesitation for just to reach the "humanity's freedom" he awaited so long, and his character kinda keep something fishy, because it seems he knows more about this troublesome conflict than it appears and is hiding some dark secret too.
Or this other situation, when Annie tried to escape by climbing the wall but failed, there were some pieces of the wall falling apart, almost totally collapsing, and surprise! There where a huge titan inside that wall. How could you explain this? How did the human kind managed to enclose a titan so big inside those walls? Probably there are more huge titans enclosed inside all those walls, and still the people from Survey Corps are willing to wip all the titans from Earth's surface, when clearly, humanity is using the titans hardening skills to protect themselves... Isn't this somewhat paradoxical?
Most of the titans lack of intelligence, so what they're doing is following their instincs. Titan Eren resembles a lot to that kind of human devourers do to his lack of power (and it seems intelligence too) to control his titan abilities.
Sorry for the bother abd the long rant, but I needed to get it off my chest... ^^

If all they're doing is following instincts than I'm sorry it's just as good as saying they're zomibies in LAST OF US, it can't be helped but they will trample and attempt to slay who they run across and not to sustain themselves, but just compulsively.
Irwin's willingness to sacrifice as many as it takes of his own men is because think about it, if humanity may be extinct and the only option is fighting back against an already enlarging army of titans who's only bent is your demise, then the soldiers who are WILLING to give their lives, and not like the pathetic ones who cower in the police, but the actual hard core soldiers, yes. If it buys humanity freedom from being wiped out, that is the cost they'd gladdly pay and Irwin isn't being shy about saying so.
NOW, if he has something to to do with it deeper than we know, then i'll gladly change my toon.
And again, I don't blame ANYONE of our heroes or even humanity because no body freaking knew that there were titans inside the walls, hell they thought it was a sin to touch the things.
My point is, innocent humanity, which is in vast majority isn't at fault here, the titans are, and those intelligent in the titan army are. Levi felled horrified he was possibly killing actual people, as where Annie was willing herself to sacrifice however many it took to achieve their goal, whatever it is, and so did Reiner and Bertholdt
However you spin it, they're the darker shades, even in light of some other nefarious forces behind the curtain, their actions are still evil.

Oh well, go on ahead with your "humanity does not have any fault" but the titans thought...
If all they're doing is following instincts than I'm sorry it's just as good as saying they're zomibies in LAST OF US, it can't be helped but they will trample and attempt to slay who they run across and not to sustain themselves, but just compulsively. Then, wouldn't that be the same for the soldiers who also want to trample and attempt to slay how many titans as they can with the plus that they actually have reasoning, just for the sake of their so called "freedom"?
If all titans are at fault as you stated, then Eren must be killed too for being a titan, or should I say he's an exception to that rule? Because it seems humanity have had used the titans powers to protect themselves (i.e the walls and now, Eren's titan abilities)
Before you get all worked up, let me say that of course I can see the things from your point of view, but it is just that I also see things from another view other than yours that I make this kind of twist thoughts or however you want to call it.
Anyways, I still feel there is something fishy in the story in where humanity has something to do with this.
P.D.: if you're still so worked up with this topic, I better leave things end here since you'll constantly goes on those head-on charges about innocence/fault stuffs, so have a nice day.

Omnipotrent In reply to DarkMetalGothicGirl [2014-02-28 01:30:23 +0000 UTC]
I'm honestly just perplexed that you find humanity as a whole at fault.
I mean, the titans are existing to eat and consume, and they aren't choosy, they slay innocent people, and that's all that they know to do. The Survey Corps are just protecting people, now those they work for may know something, but their morals are the right place.
When I say the titans are at fault, I mean the brutish ones who just eat, and the one's who are helping them, knowing innocent human lives will be wiped out, and are actually helping it along.
Eren is perhaps one of the most admirable ones because he's using his ability to protect and save.
I can understand very well that something else is going on, and the twist will most likely have it where those who first erected the wall did so with mal intent, and with titans. What's more I have no doubt that this is all some sick scheme cooked up by the cities officials, but why should the citizens have to pay for what they did? Why was innocent people like Eren's mom the cost of it. Eren's mom did NOT kill other human beings just because it was in her instinct, the titan that ate her did, hence that titan should be put down like a dog with rabies, simple as that. And those who aid the titans in their crusade with this blatant disregard for those not needing be hurt in that regard, are equally if not more guilty.
The amount of espionage and precision and pre-planning that has gone into infiltrating the wall could have easily been used to kill the officials involved and in charge, not waste peoples lives on either side.
My problem isn't with your view of the titans, it's that you lump every single human being as bad, and all the titans as "potentially good" and innocent. When in fact, it is humanity that has potentiality for good because their existence does not stand on the head of HAVING to kill something for the sake of killing it, and the titan's do.
I'm not worked up, i'm just not backing down because of this apparent disregard for actual justice hear based on the assumption that humans are to blame, and that therefore all of them should die.

Whatever you say, my point is no matter how you want to depict it, humans also kill between each other whether by power, wealth, to silence those oppressed ones, when they feel cornered, or to have some fun, you know? So neither, titans or humans are blameless, and that leave me the conclusion that humans need to change their way of thinking other than just their own safe and freedom.

Omnipotrent In reply to DarkMetalGothicGirl [2014-03-01 04:11:56 +0000 UTC]
Why wouldn't you fight for safety and freedom? Let the others just eat them so that htey can be safe? That makes no sense
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DarkMetalGothicGirl In reply to Omnipotrent [2014-03-02 00:07:09 +0000 UTC]
Because it would be the same from the other side, you know? Fighting for safety and freedom also means kill the opposite side, so in conclusion it would be a paradox in where, if you're attacked you have to deffend yourself but if the other side is attacked, then they will of course defend themselves too.
Well as I've said before, we better leave this topic end here since we are not getting to anywhere.

That's basically the same logic to say that Germany was just as innocent as the other European nations they were invading, and if we killed German soldiers we were just as bad.
