This was the fourth sketch I ever did. I had been working from a Marvel X-men Encyclopedia when I came across a very compelling sketch of Callisto. The proportions are not perfect, but I thought I captured the intensity of the original work. To tell a story I added a number of other elements. To the right is a an estimate of the Morlock underground tunnel system. There is a member of the menacing Brood lurking nearby just under the hanging X-Men Zombie. The monstrus hand to the right was taken from Sabertooth, though I added the blood and gore on my own. All the color and the building to the left was sketched in today. The perspectives are a little kooky, but I thought it had some redeeming qualities for a novice attempt.
