Very well done, great anatomy. Scratchboard can be a pain, and you did really well with this.

Nice use of cross-hatching, excellent creation of tone and form. You have a great eye for the male shape (the subject is pretty damn hot too, if you don't mind me saying ) , its probably one of the best proportioned and shaped images I've seen of late. Not to sure about the light area under the figure's hair/above the (viewer's) right shoulder, it is perhaps a little too bright. Other than that, breathtaking.

Thanks!
I totally agree about the sexiness of his form. He was a ballet dancer, and I have always believed that dancers have the most beautifully proportioned bodies.
I think the light area above his shoulder was supposed to be part of his face, but I can see how it can be a bit distracting.

this is a great figure study. I love it.
but it seems alittle akward around the spine and bottom. other than that, a very nice flow, and great proportioning.
there's really nothing else bad abuot it, it's great!

Beautiful rendering of this figure. The one thing about scratch board, like any engraving, is once you put down your line, that is exactly what you get: good or bad.
It looks like you planned this one out beforehand. Very fine linework! Sometimes, I'd much prefer to see a figure from the back, if only because they are so often not portrayed from this angle. Everyone seems to want to see faces, yet I feel that a back view conveys a latent power in the muscle pattern. Just a thought.
Job well done, Ona!

I agree! I've always loved the lines of the male back muscles.
The model here is a dancer, so of course he is defined in all the right places.
